Our name is Veg Out.

We're a ‘mom and pop’ operation that sells only totally vegetarian products. Our philosophy is that we will forever strive to be an oasis on campus. We do not have customers, we have friends. Only the best of UWI comes through our doors, never leaving without sharing a story or a kind word with us or even engaging us in heated debates.

Veg Out became a reality in September 2000 on the campus of The University of the West Indies. We were first located, where Subway presently stands. In 2005, we were subsequently relegated to the back of the JFK building.

Veg Out is a ‘mom and pop’ operation.  Whilst we do have seating for approximately seven persons at any one time, we are noted for our ‘grab and go’ meals and pastries.

We serve an amazing brand of coffee called New England Coffee made from the highest grade of Arabica beans from various regions. The full bodied dark roast blends come from such places as Colombia, Sumatra and Costa Rica.

Our meals and freshly baked pastries and sandwiches are made with totally vegetarian products. Nothing we sell contains eggs or gelatin. We only use rennet free cheese.  Our awesome salads and soups are made by Arianne Pollonais of Grub Culture and our famous chocolate cupcake is made by SNAK’s Yummy Treats.

At Veg Out, we do not have customers, we have friends. Only the best of UWI comes through our doors, never leaving without sharing a story or a kind word with us or even engaging us in heated debates. Indeed, our mission statement is that we will forever strive to be an oasis on campus despite all odds.

Special credit also goes to Ian Dass for some of the spectacular photos that he has taken of Veg Out.
